Thassos is littered with dozens of amazing beaches and hidden coves all over the island, renowned for their crystal clear waters. Every visitor will find a beach of his liking to relax & enjoy, whether it is a sandy or a pebble one.
The beauty of the island is undisputed and is considered one of the most diverse and beautiful islands on the Aegean sea.
Thassos island is the most northerly of all the Greek islands and can be found in the Aegean Sea nestled between the Halkidiki Peninsular and Kavala. Conveniently, it is only 6 kilometres away from the nearest port on the mainland. Along with its stunning natural beauty this is one of the reasons for Thassos’s popularity: no lengthy ferry boat journeys.

PANAGIA
This village is named after the Virgin Mary, and probably not coincidentally! Panagia is a place blessed with natural beauties, but also with people who know how to honor the meaning of hospitality.
One of its insurmountable natural beauties is the cave of Drakotripa that will convulse you with its stalactites and stalagmites. Large platans in the village square, running water and traditional taverns offer the visitor not one, but endless beautiful experiences!
MUSEUM
The Archaeological Museum of Thassos is located in the homonymous capital of the island and it is situated near the ancient market, almost in the centre of Limenas. It is worth visiting the museum, as it is considered by many as a remarkable provincial museum because of the findings that are exhibited dating from the Paleolithic to the Roman era.
At the Archaeological Museum of Thassos you can see unique sculpture, ceramics, miniature sculpture and coin collections dating from the 7th century BC until the 7th century AD.
